U.S. Army Vet. pt. 2: Curb Spending, Embrace Diversity, Term Limits

In Part 2, Mr. Alborn is more specific on reforms he would recommend for our government. Alan P. Alborn of Manassas, Virginia served in the United States Army for a 22 years, in the Far East, Europe, and the Pentagon specializing in Military Intelligence, Special Operations, Logistics, Operations Research (ORSA), and Systems Engineering. After retiring from the military, he spent 15 years in senior positions with the private sector. Al is an Eagle Scout. He received a letter of commendation from George W. Bush for his work on implementing Executive Order 13356, "Strengthening the Sharing of Terrorism Information to Protect Americans." The Coffee Party Movement gives voice to Americans who want to see cooperation in government. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans. As voters and grassroots volunteers, we will support leaders who work toward positive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct them. That's our mission statement, as it stands right now. This video is a more extemporaneous statement of purpose for the Coffee Party Movement. We filmed this pn Feb. 10, 2010, outside of Salon Rouge in Dupont Circle while waiting for Salim Michel to finish up with a client. Moments later we shot Salim's video. We'd love for you to shoot your own videos. We can put you in touch with filmmakers in your area if you need technical support, and we will help you post your videos here. Contact us on Facebook by searching for "Join the Coffee Party Movement." Also, we realize there are "Coffee Party" groups popping up all over the country, many of them independently and many of them a bit ahead of us in choosing the coffee theme. I hope we can all work together toward common goals. We are planning a convention this summer and all are welcome.
